AkzoNobel's fleet management partner Arval U.K. helped the company expand its EV and plug-in hybrid selection for drivers and test the suitability of electric vans for its decorator centers' deliveries..
U.K.’s first full-sized autonomous buses will be introduced in Scotland for the first time, ultimately providing a service capable of carrying up to 36 passengers over 14 miles, with a capacity for over 10,000 passengers a week.
Electric vans will be fitted with a charging pad to park on as part of the trial. The £1.6 million project is led by Flexible Power Systems, in partnership with the City of Edinburgh Council and Heriot-Watt University.
A single charge gives the eCanter an operating range of approximately 100 km, which is ample for many urban delivery applications.
