Kenworth and WAVE will participate in the U.S. Department of Energy’s electrified powertrain project to develop a 1-megawatt wireless charging system for Class 8 electric trucks.
The Kenworth T680E is the company’s first Class 8 battery-electric model. The new zero-emission truck is now available for order from Kenworth dealers in the U.S. and Canada, and will enter into production in 2021.
