Honda is working to be the first Japanese automaker to manufacture a Level 3 autonomous vehicle (AV) this year, the Japanese Times reports.

According to company sources, Honda's car is expected to offer driverless capabilities when traffic is slow or congested. Honda expects to introduce its vehicle in the summer, after Japanese automakers jointly test AVs on public roads.
