We asked sponsors for the 2019 Fleet Forward Conference four questions regarding their mobility strategies as they relate to commercial, corporate, and government fleets.

Global automaker and mobility provider Volskwagen weighs in:

1-What message would you like to impart to our Fleet Forward audience of commercial, corporate, and government fleet managers?

As the automotive world moves into a new era, Volkswagen of America is committed to working closely with our partners to ensure we are meeting the needs of our customers. From mobility, connectivity, and the desire for cleaner fuel alternatives, Volkswagen of America is working to create products and services to meet all of these needs. Our customer’s voices will help shape the vision of Volkswagen of America as we move into this new era.

2-Tell us about your company as it relates to mobility: connectivity, autonomous technology, shared mobility, or electrification.

Volkswagen of America is committed to the future of the automotive world and the advancement of technology and electric cars. We are currently working to upgrade our current fleet from a connectivity standpoint, while creating a new fleet of electric cars. Volkswagen of America is also working with numerous partners to deliver a shared mobility platform to meet the needs of fleet customers in urban environments. Finally, through Electrify America, we are building and managing a vehicle charging network so the future of electric cars has a sustainable footprint across the United States and beyond.

3-What is your specific value proposition or message to commercial, corporate, and government fleets as it relates to mobility?

While the needs of fleets and fleet managers are changing daily, Volkswagen of America is committed to partnering with all types of fleets to address those daily challenges as it relates to mobility. Our customer’s needs and voices will shape the direction of future Volkswagen products.

4-How do you see your part of the industry developing in the near future, and your business specifically?

The future of the automotive industry changes all the time. The one thing that remains constant is the desire for better connectivity, cleaner fuel alternatives, autonomous capabilities, and shared mobility. These four areas will continuously shape the direction of the automotive industry and Volkswagen of America is at the forefront of this dynamic shift. The direction of the automotive industry is shaped by its customer’s needs and concerns, and Volkswagen is listening.
