Vehicle tracking system provider Quartix has introduced a new telematics service – Quartix EVolve – to help company fleets manage the transition to electric vehicles (EVs).

EVolve first analyzes a fleet’s GPS data, vehicle types, distances travelled, and current information on EV vehicles and charging points. Applying artificial information, EVolve then creates a set of recommendations outlining potential impacts of an EV fleet transition on total cost of ownership, emission reductions and fuel spend savings.

The new service will also provide a customized “best matched vehicle” list and a summary of suggested charging installations points and charger types. Quartix will update the tool with new details on EV vehicles, charging options, the latest fuel and electric prices and changes to EV incentives.

EVolve is scheduled for an initial launch in the UK with plans to roll out in the U.S. and throughout Europe later this year.
