Fleet managers attending the inaugural Fleet Forward: The Tour in Atlanta will have an opportunity to drive the all-electric 2021 Volkswagen ID.4 SUV. The five-passenger ID.4 offers 201 horsepower and 228 lb.-ft of torque and an EPA-estimated range of 249 to 260 miles depending on configuration.

Fleet Forward: The Tour is an offshoot of the Fleet Forward Conference, is a one-day, regional event where fleet managers can drive EVs and experience other new technologies. The first tour, free for qualified fleet operators, will take place at the Hilton Atlanta Northeast hotel on March 31.

The Ride and Drive portion of the event, sponsored by Element Fleet Management, will also include the Volvo C40 and Volvo C40 battery EVs, Polestar 2, Nissan LEAF, and the AYRO electric utility vehicle, along with a display of the 2023 Nissan Ariya. Other models, demonstrations, and displays will be announced soon.

The day also features seminars, networking opportunities, and lunch.

“The Tour will bring the same cutting-edge technologies and thought leadership as the Fleet Forward Conference, but in a compact format,” said Chris Brown, conference chair. “All in one day, fleet managers will be able to get behind the wheel of the latest EV models, interact with product experts, network with peers, and access education to make their fleets more efficient and productive.”

After Atlanta, the Tour will stop in Chicago on June 16 and in Dallas on Sept. 15. The Fleet Forward Conference will return to Silicon Valley Nov. 9-11, with location to be announced soon.
